Minister of Finance, Camillo Gonsalves said the Government will be seeking a loan of 50 million US dollars from the government of the Republic of China on Taiwan for the Mt. Wynne Hotel Development Project.
Minister Gonsalves made the disclosure, as he responded to a question in Parliament this morning.
He said the state-owned, private sector managed hotel development is expected to provide over 200 additional rooms to the current stock of high quality tourist accommodation by 2022.
Minister Gonsalves said the discussions have so far led to visits by representatives of two major hotel brands and two highly reputable Architects to lay the framework for the hotel project.
