The Sustainable Grenadines Incorporated (SUSGREN), said it continues to work to ensure that local people are involved in marine conservation efforts.
Susgren is a trans-boundary Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), which operates between St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Grenada, and focuses on issues of marine protection, conservation and stewardship of the environment.
Executive Director of Susgren, Orisha Joseph said while extensive work has been done in 2019 and they enjoyed many successes they want to continue that trend during this year.
Miss Joseph said they have been working extensively with the youths across St. Vincent and Grenadines to ensure future stewards of the environment.
Miss Joseph said they do not want the nation’s marine conservation efforts to be good but instead they want them to be great.
She said this is important to address future issues that may affect the marine environment.
