St Lucia Kings gained a 51-run victory over Guyana Amazon Warriors

St Lucia Kings gained a 51-run victory over Guyana Amazon Warriors in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) at Warner Park, St Kitts and Nevis yesterday morning.

After being put in to bat first, St Lucia Kings made 149-7 off 20 overs. Their best score was 85 by Roston Chase. It took him 50 balls to reach his score and the innings included 6 fours and 7 sixes. Medium pacer, Romario Shepherd took 3-21 for Guyana Amazon Warriors, and medium pacer, Odean Smith had 3-22.

The reply by Guyana Amazon Warriors was disappointing. They were dismissed for 98 runs off 16.5 overs. Their captain, Nicholas Pooran scored 41 and Odean Smith made 31 not out.

For St Lucia Kings, left-arm, leg-spinner, Jeavor Royal took 3-19. Left-arm, fast bowler, Obed Mc Coy had 2-19, and fast bowler, Kesrick Williams captured 2-7.
