The La Soufriere Relief Grant Programme has been extended

The La Soufriere Relief Grant Programme facilitated by the World Food Programme in collaboration with Ministry of Social Development, will continue for another two months. 

The Ministry of Social Development says displaced persons who have qualified for the cash program will be contacted again via SMS to collect the next round of payment at Western Union this week and the following.

Persons must present Identification, such as Passport, National ID Card or Driver’s license in order to collect cash at Western Union.

Western Union branches are located on Bay Street in Kingstown, Mesopotamia Post Office, Calliaqua, South Rivers, Georgetown and Barrouallie.

For further information, persons can call the WFP hotline number at 491 3370/491 6253 or email svg.hotlinesrg@wfp.org.

The Soufriere Relief Grant is made possible through the generous support of the Government of Canada, the UN Central Emergency Relief Fund, the European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations, the German Humanitarian Assistance, USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance and WFP’s Immediate Response Fund.
