DAGS Year One and Sports Sciences Freshers shine in NLA Invitational Football Championship

The Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies Year One and Sports Sciences Freshers were in winners’ row in the National Lotteries Authority/Unique Touch Soccer St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College Invitational Football Championship at the Sion Hill Playing Field yesterday afternoon. The 3rd match of the afternoon between System 3 Youth and Jebelle Youth ended in a 1-1 draw.

 

The Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies Year One gained a 3-1 win over Galaxy Gladiators.

 

Romel Dickson scored in the 13th and 43rd minutes for the Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies Year One, whose third goal was a long range shot by Lazaro Lynch.

 

Mosiah Barber netted in the 52nd minute for Galaxy Gladiators.

 

Sports Sciences Freshers then outplayed the Division of Art, Sciences and General Studies Year Two 7-0 with goals by Kareem Davis who converted a hat trick with goals in the 7th, 30th and 65 minutes. N’jay Hooper netted in the 26th and 29th minutes, while Malachi McMaster in the 45th minute and Dimitri Walker’s 58th minute goal rounded off the feast of goals. Davis was named Player of the Day.

 

System 3 Youth and Jebelle Youth played to a 1-1 draw in yesterday’s 3rd match. Jaheim Kirby scored in the 6th minute for System 3 Youth, and Jahva Audain converted the equalizer for Jebelle Youth in the 67th minute.

 

The Championship will continue on Friday.
