COP-29-Pavilion

The first week of COP 29 in Baku Azerbaijan has concluded. The week was packed with main events and dozens of side events all focusing on important climate matters.

The voices of St Vincent and the Grenadines and CARICOM were heard on multiple platforms on a range of issues, among them, Loss and Damage, Vulnerability of SIDS, Climate Financing and the cost of Adaptation and Mitigation.

Chair of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and Prime Minister of Grenada, Hon. Dickon Mitchell, called for the closing of the “significant” financing gap Small Island Developing States face in mitigating and adapting to the climate crisis.
