Dragons and Hornets won their matches last night in the Vita Malt Bequia Basketball Championships at the Hard Court of the Clive Tannis Playing Field in Port Elizabeth.
Dragons advanced to the Finals of the Under-16 Championship after overwhelming Rockets 88-4 in their semi-final match.
Omario Liouie played outstandingly for Dragons scoring 50 points, 10 rebounds, 13 steals and 2 assists, while Eltino Bynoe had 4 points, 2 rebounds and 2 steals for Rockets.
Hornets’ victory over Titans was by a much narrower margin, 19 to 16. For Hornets, Tristin Stowe had 12 points, 8 rebounds, 5 steals and 1 assist, with Oshaun Hazell scoring 8 points, 4 rebounds and 6 steals for Titans.
Dragons and East Blazers will contest the best of three Under-16 Finals which start tomorrow evening at the Hard Court of the Clive Tannis Playing Field in Port Elizabeth.
