Local Taxi Drivers will soon be required to comply with new standards, which are being developed by the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authority, in collaboration with the Standards Bureau.
Word of this came from Chief Executive Officer at the SVG Tourism Authority Glen Beache during a News Conference yesterday.
Mr. Beach said the new standards have already been approved by the Standards Bureau
Meanwhile, Chief Operating Officer at the SVG Tourism Authority Faylene Scrubb-King said training sessions will be held before the standards are implemented.
