Cane Grove Community in Pembroke will launch their Neighbourhood Watch Programme

Residents of the Cane Grove Community in Pembroke will launch their Neighbourhood Watch Programme this afternoon.

A release from the Police Public Relations Department says the launch will take place at the Palmyra Restaurant from three this afternoon.

The event will hear remarks from Parliamentary Representative for the area, Nigel Stephenson, President of the Layou Neighbourhood Watch, Carlton browne; and Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Jonathan Nicholls,.

The feature address will be delivered by Chairman of the Cane Grove Neighbourhood Watch, Grenville Williams.

The programme will include music provided by the Police Band and Vita Malt Symphonix Steel Orchestra.

Residents of Pembroke and the surrounding areas are being invited to attend this afternoon’s launch.

This brings to eight(8) the number of Neighbourhood Watch programmes established in communities across the country.

The Police Force is continuing to encourage other communities to establish Neighbourhood Watch Programmes, as a pro-active initiative in the reduction and prevention of criminal activities in areas across the country.
