Four performing artistes and one dance group were selected to represent St. Vincent and the Grenadines at the finals of the Youth Fest 2013 in St. Lucia on December 22nd.
Youth Fest auditions were held on November 16th at the Peace Memorial Hall in two age categories: Teens 13-19 years, and Youths 20-29 years, performing in eight or more genres, including Gospel, Dance Hall, Reggae, Soca, Cantonese, Hip Hop, R&B, RAP and others.
Dawnlyn Bynoe and Javed Rouse won the judges nod in the Teens 13-19 years category and Karrel Koko Greaves and Brian Maloney won in the Youths 20-29 years category.
The dance group Break Storm will also compete in the dance segment of the competition.
The performers will compete for the title of Youth Star 2013 on December 22nd, to win a cash prize of 10 thousand EC dollars.
