Vincentians who wish to make donations to assist people in the Philippines are being asked to make strictly cash donations to ensure that the affected people receive the specific assistance which they need.
Treasurer at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Red Cross Society, Julia Simmons says a Fund has been established at the Bank Of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and persons can make their donations into that account which is called the Typhoon Haiyan Account.
She says persons can also make their donations at the Red Cross Office where they will receive a receipt to ensure transparency in the process.
