Agriculture Minister Saboto Caesar says in the New Year he will continue to encourage Banana Farmers to diversify into other crops, as a result of the downturn in the Banana Industry.
Minister Caesar was speaking at a signing ceremony last week, to mark the official hand over of the National Horticultural Project, which was established by the Taiwanese Technical Team.
Minister Caesar said the continued assistance from the Taiwanese Technical Team would be beneficial in this area.
The National Horticultural Project, which is based at Orange Hill was initiated three years ago by the Taiwan Technical Mission.
