The Eastern Caribbean Representative of the World Pediatric Project, WPP, Jacquelyn Brown-King says officials of the project are pleased with the success of the nine missions conducted in St. Vincent and the Grenadines this year.

The ninth and final medical mission, held here last month, focused on  orthopedics, and was a collaborative effort of the WPP and the Ministry of Health.

Mrs. Brown-King says the WPP also co-ordinated a major capacity building initiative, which included regional participants.

Mrs. Browne-King also says the WPP encountered some challenges this year, including securing funding for children who needed to travel to access treatment in Richmond Virginia or St. Louis in the United States.
