The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Red Cross Society says it is continuing to visit communities across the country to offer assistance to persons who are in need following the disaster on Christmas Eve night.

Communications Officer at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Red Cross Society, Rendal Allen said on Christmas morning they held a meeting to assess the information which they received based on reports from National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO).

He said following this they then visited a number of communities and commenced their work to distribute a number of items to the affected person.

Mr. Allen said they have been working along with the National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) and other relevant organizations to ensure a speedy recovery.

He said they expect to visit the Windward Side of the country today to offer assistance.
