Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves says the newly completed  Terminal Building for the Argyle International Airport was  constructed at a cost of just over 28-million U.S. dollars.

Dr. Gonsalves made the disclosure, as he delivered the main address at a ceremony held this morning, to mark the handing over of the facility from the Overseas Engineering Construction Company, OECC to the  International Airport Development Company, IADC.

He said the OECC Company did a good job in executing the project, and the building will be retrofitted within the next six months.

Giving an over view of the project, the Prime Minister said work on the runway is continuing apace.

And, Taiwanese Ambassador to St. Vincent and the Grenadines Weber Shih described the Argyle International Airport as a flagship project for St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

He said the construction of the Terminal Building was a tangible indication of the strong ties between St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Taiwan
