An appeal has been made here for the Government and the political opposition to work together to rebuild the nation following the devastation caused by last month’s flooding.

The call came from the Chairperson of the People’s Movement for Change (PMC), Oscar Allen, during a News Conference this morning.

Mr. Allen, made the call following an Open letter to both political leaders from an overseas-based Vincentian, calling on them to put aside their political differences and work together on the recovery effort.

He said the PMC endorsed the letter, written by Junior Jones, and forwarded it to both political camps with the hope of effecting a change.

Mr. Allen also noted that the recovery process must involve a conscientious and sustained effort by both sections of the political divide.
