The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Red Cross Society is appealing to Vincentians to practice recycling.

This call was made by Communications Officer for the Red Cross Society, Rendall Allen as they continue efforts to assist persons who have been affected by rains and flooding on Christmas Even night.

Mr. Allen said Red Cross Volunteers have been working every day to assist persons throughout the country.

He added that bottled water is currently an important commodity and he is appealing to the Vincentian population to recycle these bottles and other items which can be recycled to ensure that they protect the environment.
