Kineke Alexander completed the double at the UAB Blazer Invitational Athletics Meet over the weekend at the Birmingham Cross Plex Arena, in Birmingham, Alabama, USA.
Alexander won the 300-metres in 37.82 seconds and the 400-metres in 53.53 seconds, establishing a New Meet record. The previous Meet record was 54.95 set on January 13th by Amaka O-GO-E-G-BUNAM.
Courtney Williams won his heats in a personal best time of 6.80 seconds in the 60-metres open in the Houston Indoor Opener at Yeoman Field House, University of Houston, Texas.
He advanced to the finals but only ran 6.98 seconds. In commenting to Team Athletics SVG on his performance Courtney said that he was happy with the run because his training up to the event was with the quarter milers and that he had not yet started speed work.
