Director General of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Red Cross Society, Bernard “BT” Marksman says they are continuing to receive supplies which are being used to assist the people around the country, who were affected by the recent disaster.

He made this statement during a press briefing which was held earlier this week to update the nation on the status of the relief and recovery process.

Mr. Marksman also thanked the many volunteers and organizations who have come forward to assist the organization and the nation in this time.
He said they are also expecting to receive a Water Purification Unit this weekend as part of three containers which are coming from the French Red Cross.

Mr. Marksman said these supplies are expected to go a long way in assisting with the relief and recovery efforts.

Mr. Marksman said the next phase of the recovery process is the clean-up and they have already sourced a number of power wash machines which will come in handy during this time.
