Officials from the National Insurance Services (NIS) say they think employers throughout the country can do more to ensure the success of their E-Submit program.

Through the E-Submit program which was implemented as part of the NIS Reform Service, employers can file the records of their employees electronically.

Director Executive Director of the National Insurance Services Reginald Thomas said they are not satisfied with the Employers participation in the E-Submit program.

He said the program was designed to reduce the use of paper and increase the efficiency and interaction between the NIS and Employers.

Mr. Thomas noted that while the program is being used, at present it is not being utilized as much as they were expecting.

Mr. Thomas said for the year 2014 they will be heightening their public sensitization program to ensure that more persons access the services of the NIS.
