The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines will be moving this year to strengthen the capacity of the National emergency Management Organisation NEMO.
Word of this came from Governor General Sir Frederick Ballantyne, as he delivered his Throne Speech in Parliament on Monday, to mark the start of the Fourth Session of the Ninth Parliament.
Sir Frederick said the Government has made significant strides in its efforts to reduce this country’s vulnerability to natural disasters, and work towards this end will continue this year.
