Minister with responsibility for Information and Communications Technology Camillo Gonsalves has said Vincentians are victims of a digital content deficit as they are not producers of digital content.

He made the statement at the commissioning of a state of the art computer lab at the technical and vocational education of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines community college last week.

Minister Gonsalves said Vincentians consume information that already exist on the internet and do very little to produce their own.

Minister Gonsalves disclosed that almost all of the digital content in St. Vincent and the Grenadines comes from somewhere else hence the profits goes to someone else.

He said the digital content deficit balance must be reversed in order to have a modern society.
