Leaders and members of the Seventh-day Adventist church will gather at the Arnos Vale Playing Field tomorrow, for a national convocation under the theme, “Embracing the dream in 2014”.

According to a release from the church, the highlight of the convocation will be the ordination of Pastors, Brent St Jean and Shane Franklyn to full Gospel Ministry, according to the usages of the world wide Seventh-day Adventist Church and the commissioning of five Teachers to the Teaching Ministry of the Church.

President of the Caribbean Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Dr. Kern Tobias will present the sermon of Ordination while Dr. Clinton Valley, President of the University of the Southern Caribbean will be the key-note speaker for the commissioning service for Teachers.
The significance of the ordination and commissioning service is to publicly invoke God’s blessings and consecrate the Pastors and Teachers who would have met all the academic, professional and spiritual criteria as supported by Holy Scripture and required by the church.
