VINLEC Employees and other individuals who have been working to restore power at the Hydro Power Plants, have been commended for their efforts.

The commendation came from Chief Executive Officer of VINLEC Thornley Myers, at a Media Conference last week.

Mr. Myers said efforts to restore the other Hydro Plants are continuing, and he commended the team for their dedication.

VINLEC’s Engineering Team commenced restoration work immediately after the December 2013 trough system, and has been able to successfully re-commission the Cumberland One Plant.

The Company says work to restore the South Rivers Plant is continuing with the testing of equipment and machinery at that location, and the Engineering team is working to have that Station functional within the next two weeks.

The company say it will continue to ensure efficiency in its operations as it moves to provide quality service to customers.
