Executive Director of the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA), Ronald Jackson said they have been offering assistance to St. Vincent and the Grenadines and they will continue doing this.

He made this statement during a press briefing which was held recently to update the nation on the National relief and recovery efforts, following the passing of the Trough System.

Mr. Jackson said his organization is pleased with the way the disaster relief process is being handled in the country and they will continue to work with the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) and the Government in this regard.

He said the Government of Jamaica has also offered to assist in a number of ways including sending the Jamaica Defence Force Engineering Regiment to assist the nation with its rebuilding efforts.
