Chronic Non Communicable Diseases (CNCD’S) or Lifestyle Diseases continue to be the leading cause of death in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

This statement was made by Focal Point for Chronic Non Communicable Diseases in the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment, Dr. Rosmond Adams who said they have intensified their fight against CNCD’s.

Dr. Adams said this intensification is important because if the issue of CNCD’s is not tackled in an urgent manner then it can have significant negative impact on national development.

He said Vincentians can assist with the fight against CNCD’s by living healthier lifestyles.

Dr. Adams said they have been hosting a wide range of activities to address CNCD’s which have been very successful so far.
