The national broadcasting corporation, NBC radio today handed over a cheque for close to $65,000 to Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves in support of the ongoing relief efforts.
The cheque represents the second payments handed over to the government following a radio ton held in the wake of the flooding last December.
General Manager of NBC Corletha Ollivierre handing over the cheque in the amount of $64, 886.53.
Ollivierre says the radio ton held involved almost all of the radio stations here. She added that this was not the first radio ton hosted to assist in national aid relief.
Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves expressed much gratitude towards receiving the second installment of the funds and everyone who was involved towards making the radio ton a reality.
The first installment amounted to $125, 000.
