Officials at the Carnival Development Corporation (CDC) say one of their main objectives is to build on the youth participation in the festival while fostering a better understanding about the nation’s culture by the youths.
This statement was made by Coordinator of Shows at the Carnival Development Corporation (CDC), Marlon Stephenson as he expressed satisfaction with the recent launch of the festival.
Mr. Stephenson said the launch was preceded by the Scotia Bank Kids Affair at Heritage Square and this program was very successful in reaching the youths.
He said they will be pushing to ensure that the traditional characters and values be made a central part of the festival.
Mr. Stephenson said they will also continue to build on the heritage in the festival and they will also be strengthening this for Vincy Mas 2015.
