Homicides and Burglaries Police Reports

Local Police says they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Godfrey Cumberbatch Laidlow, a 42-year old labourer of Glen.

The Police Public Relations Department says Laidlow died after he sustained a gunshot wound to his head in an incident which occurred, at Glen about 12:50 this morning.

A postmortem examination is expected to be performed on the body to ascertain the cause of death.

Meanwhile … Fifty-eight year old Mason Mark Williams of Fair Hall, was arrested and charged with unlawfully and maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm on Bernard Brian, 30yrs, labourer of fair Hall, at Fair Hall on June 9th.

And … Bernard Shallow, 45yrs, labourer of Barrouallie, was arrested and charged with while being in lawful custody at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court sentenced to one (1) month imprisonment for the offence of burglary did escape from such custody, at Kingstown yesterday

Police say Shallow is also charged with burglarizing the Harmony Investment Mini Mart and stealing a quantity of items, value $164.00, the property of Harmony Investment Ltd, stolen at Kingstown between Tuesday and Wednesday this week.
