Speaking during the Face to Face program aired on NBC Radio, a Local Pastor Nolan Nanton said a father plays an integral role in the upbringing of any child.
Pastor Nanton noted that there are many Fathers who do not support their children.
He said many of the problems which plague the society today are as a result of many youths growing up without the guidance and direction of father figures in their lives.
Philcol Jeffers from the Youth Affairs Division said males also have a role to play as the disciplinarians in the lives of their children.
He said parents especially the males also play a role in the rearing of their children particularly as it relates to respecting their elders.
