Local and Regional Delegates are continuing discussions today on developing and implementing a Program for Sustainable Land Management in the OECS.
The Ministry of Housing, Informal Human Settlements, Lands and Surveys and Physical Planning, and Land is hosting the workshop in collaboration with the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States.
Participants are being updated on matters regarding the implementation of the “Supporting the Eastern Caribbean States to Improve Land Policies and Management” project.
In his address at the opening ceremony yesterday, Minister of Housing, Montgomery Daniel highlighted some of the work undertaken by the government at squatter settlements here.
Meanwhile … Director of Social and Sustainable Development at the OECS Secretariat Bentley Browne says a document on Land Issues in the OECS is among areas are being discussed during the sessions.
