Chief Executive Officer of Invest SVG Bernadette Ambrose Black says there is an urgent need for the development of a sound investment framework for the agricultural sector.
Mrs. Ambrose Black made the point as spoke at a News Conference held on Tuesday to mark the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Agriculture and Winfresh.
The Memorandum is intended develop a framework for collaboration between both entities, with the aim of further diversifying the agricultural sector.
Mrs. Ambrose-Black said recent food crises have prompted Governments around the world to pay closer attention to investment in agriculture.
Mrs. Ambrose Black commended the Ministry of Agriculture and Winfresh on the new initiative and pledged the support of Invest SVG on the project.
