The third ceremony to mark the handover of houses to persons affected by the December 2013 floods, will take place here this afternoon.

Eight families in South Rivers whose homes were damaged or destroyed by the floods will receive keys to their new homes.

The ceremony will take place at South Rivers, from three this afternoon.
Addresses are expected to come from Minister of Housing, Montgomery Daniel; Permanent Secretary Shirla Francis; and Chairman of the Housing and Land Development Corporation, Berrisford Philips.

Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves will deliver the feature address.

Today’s ceremony will be followed by another on Thursday June 26th in Cumberland from 3pm, and the fifth and final ceremony will be held in Fancy on Friday June 27th also from 3pm.

Residents of Fitzhughes and Langley Park have already been presented with the keys to their new homes, at ceremonies held last week.
