Police Summer Programme Update & Progress

As the Police Band Summer Programme enters its third week, representatives from the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force say the students will be provided with a fun and rewarding experience that they will always remember.

According to a release, Coordinator of the program, Inspector Bernard Haynes said the program which is now into its seventh year exposes students, age nine to fifteen years old, to musical instruments such as the pan, trumpet, recorder, saxophone, Clarinet, drums, keyboard and guitar.

He said during the past two weeks seventy five students were taught the fundamentals of music.
The program which commenced on July 21st will run until August 22nd and it includes guest lectures as well as sporting activities.

This year’s program is taking place under the theme “Building Minds through the Art of Music”.

Meanwhile, Deputy Fire Chief of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force, Station Sergeant Charles Adams has retired after thirty-one years of Service.
Station Sergeant Adams who was enlisted on January 19th 1983 said it has been an honor serving the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
