An official launch was held on the weekend, for the Scorch Cancer Support Group, which has been established to provide support to persons affected by the disease.
The launch was held at the official residence of the Prime Minister on Saturday night.
Delivering the feature address at the event, Cancer Survivor and Educator Morine Williams noted that the diagnosis of cancer is usually a devastating event.
Mrs. Williams advised those who are faced with a diagnosis of cancer not to give up but to face the challenge with a positive attitude.
