Two young Vincentians have been confirmed by the CARICOM Secretariat as CARICOM Youth Ambassadors for the year 2014 to 2015.
A release from the CARICOM Youth Ambassadors of St. Vincent and the Grenadines says CYA Kishore Shallow remains as the Male CARICOM Youth Ambassador, while Shanika John joins him as the new Female CARICOM Youth Ambassador here.
Miss Shallow is also Vice dean of the CARICOM Youth Ambassadors Corps, primarily responsible for Information and Communication.

Minister responsible for Youth Affairs, of Youth, Hon. Frederick Stephenson conveyed his satisfaction at the performance of outgoing CARICOM Youth Ambassador Tamira Browne, who he said has done a remarkable job.

He also congratulated Mr. Shallow and Miss John on their appointment, and expressed his confidence in their ability to continue the programme with tremendous impact.

Ms Browne’s three years tenure ended July 31, 2014. During her tenure, she initiated the CYAs’ SVG Committee in 2012. Additionally, in her three years, she was instrumental in leading some positive and influential initiatives, both locally and regionally.
