A group of persons calling themselves the friends of Venezuela yesterday held a cultural send off for charge d’affaires at the Venezuelan Embassy Elias Vill-alba and his Administrator Rhona Zamona.
The ceremony featured a variety of cultural presentations by local groups which included the resistance heartbeat drummers.
Speaking at the event Charge d’affaires at the Venezuelan Embassy Elias Vill-alba said the Embassy has received a lot of support from the Vincentian community through challenging times.
Mr. Vill-alba said their main role while in St. St. Vincent and the Grenadines was to work with Vincentians to ensure the social development of both countries.
