As part of its continued diversification efforts, the Ministry of Agriculture will soon be exporting a new commodity to the United Kingdom.

Agriculture Minister Sabota Caesar announced today that his Ministry has secured a market for Butternut Squash in the United Kingdom

He says this is part of the development and implementation of the Export Strategy initiative between his Ministry and WINFRESH.
Minister Caesar says fifteen Farmers have shown interest in getting involved in Butternut Squash Farming.

As a result some twenty acres of land have already been earmarked for the production of this crop.
The Minister says markets are also being secured for Hot Peppers, Onions and Sweet Potatoes and he is encouraging Farmers to get involved in growing these crops.
