The Central Water and Sewerage Authority (CWSA) is this week conducting its seventh free White Goods Collection service.

Solid Waste Manager at the Central Water and Sewerage Authority, Winsbert Quow said the initiative is part of a continued thrust by the Unit to significantly reduce the volume of white goods such as old refrigerators, which can become a breeding ground for rats and mosquitoes, if they are not disposed of properly.

Mr. Quow said the program which commenced on Monday will finish on Saturday.

He also noted that they are collecting the white goods on the same day as the regular garbage collection day for each area.
Mr. Quow said if persons would have missed their collection service during this week there will be another collection during the month of February.

He said persons can also contact the CWSA to have the White Goods collected at a cost.
