Chief Executive Officer of the International Airport Development Company, IADC, Dr. Rudy Matthias was on hand in New York on Saturday night, to brief the gathering on the International Airport Project at Argyle.
During his presentation, Dr. Matthias disclosed that the estimated value of the completed airport is 700-million EC-dollars.
He however noted that the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines is not likely to pay the full cost of constructing the facility, because of significant savings, resulting from support from countries like Cuba.
Dr. Matthias said over 100-million dollars will be spent to complete construction and retrofit the airport, in preparation for the start of operation.
