Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves says the Government’s road maintenance programme has been derailed as a result of the series of severe weather events which have affected the country.

The Prime Minister made the point, as he responded to a question from the media, at a News Conference on Tuesday.

Dr. Gonsalves said the Government is aware that several roads across the country are in a deplorable state.
But he noted that funds earmarked for road work has had to be diverted.
