Canfest 2014 is set to take place on December 19th and organizers of the annual charity event, say anticipation is high for the 8th staging of the show.

The event is designed to mobilize national support for local charities. It works by persons exchanging three or more different cans of food for a ticket to witness a live concert.

Jemron Delplesche from the CanFest Committee said that since its inception, CanFest has donated more than two hundred and fifty thousand cans of food to the less fortunate.

Mr. Delplesche said persons will see a slight change in the format this year.
The 8th Annual Can Fest will be held at the Victoria Park on Friday December 19th.
