Minister of Agriculture, Saboto Caesar says St. Vincent and the Grenadines is expected to resume banana exports to the United Kingdom by May this year.
Speaking at a recent News Conference, the Minister of Agriculture Saboto Caesar said during the year 2014 the Ministry of Agriculture was able to meet its target of exporting one thousand one hundred tonnes of Banana to the regional market.
He said there is a growing demand in the region for Bananas from St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Minister Caesar said in November last year, the Ministry of Agriculture signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the resumption of banana exports to the United Kingdom.
