The session was originally scheduled for January 12th, but was postponed in light of the tragic accident in Owia.
Governor General Sir Frederick Ballantyne will deliver the Traditional Throne Speech to mark the ceremonial opening of the Fifth Session of the Ninth Parliament
This will be followed by the presentation of the 2015 National Budget by Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves
The session is scheduled to begin at four the Assembly Chamber in Kingstown.
Prime Minister Gonsalves will make a further statement on this issue later today.
