The National Diabetic and Hypertensive Association has endorsed the Diabetic Care programme which was launched by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment yesterday.
Local health officials say the increasing burden placed on the health care services by Diabetes continues to grow and threatens to overwhelm both the primary and secondary care services.
President of the Association, Sister Rosita King, said the programme is expected to assist the organization in carrying out its mandate.
