Agriculture Minister Saboto Caesar says there has been an increase in the export of Bananas from St. Vincent and the Grenadines to the Regional Market during the first week of this year.
This he says is in comparison to the same period last year.
The Minister tells NBC News that despite this increase, Banana Farmers need to pay special attention to the quality of bananas being produced.
Minister Caesar says the Ministry is looking forward to further expansion in the Banana Industry as there is a growing demand for tissue-culture Banana Plants.
