A team of Medical Experts from Virginia, USA is in the state for a week-long visit under the World Pediatric Project’s Annual Ophthalmology and Plastic Surgery Mission.
The team led by volunteers Dr. Donna Browne – Pediatric Ophthalmologist and Plastic Surgeon Dr. Nadia Blanchet, is carrying out clinics at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital this week.
This is the 102nd Annual Mission to St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Dr. Brown tells NBC News that the Mission team provides much needed outlet for surgical care for children in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the Caribbean region.
Dr. Browne said the Mission Team has been receiving good support from Policy Makers and Officials at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital over the years.
