This appeal was made by President of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Association of Music Professionals (SVG AMP), Orandie “Bomani” Charles as they prepare to host the National Music Awards, next month.

During the Red Carpet event slated for March 6th at the Peace Memorial Hall, Awards will be presented in twenty-four categories, while an addition three Special Awards will be presented.

Mr. Charles said many local Dancehall Artistes promote violent lyrics and he is encouraging them to find creative ways in presenting their lyrics.
Mr. Charles said he is confident that the country has enough talent to take local dancehall to the international scene.

He however cautioned that Dancehall entertainers need to find more creative ways in getting their message across to their listeners.
