Officials in the Ministry of Education say they would like to see an improvement in the way Mathematics is taught in schools.
As a result the Ministry of Education has designated March 2nd to 13th as Numeracy Week.
As part of the activities a Radio Discussion Program was held yesterday focusing on the State of Mathematics in St. Vincent and the Grenadians and its implications for national development.
In his contribution to the discussion, Education Officer with responsibility for Mathematics, Clyde Fitzpatrick urged teachers to identify ways to improve achievement in Mathematics.
