Improving SVG’s Import Standards Of Service

The Ministry of Trade is working on ways to improve the standard of services in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

And, an Import License Regime is in place, which aims to ensure that goods imported into this country meet the necessary standards.
Trade Officer in the Ministry of Trade, Janice King, says there are two classes of goods imported here.

Meanwhile, Director of the Bureau of Standards, Ezra Ledger, says the Bureau has had to develop a system of prioritizing which products can been assessed, because of the large volume of goods being imported.
